Economics
This is my thesis in theoretical economics, which I submitted at the University of Freiburg in 2000.
title: Mehr Beschäftigung durch Manipulation der Steuerstruktur? (More Employment by Manipulating the Tax Structure?)
abstract: I analyse whether it is possible and desirable to reduce unemployment by manipulating taxes on factors of production. Two concepts of a revenue neutral tax reform that reduces the tax burden on employment are considered: Firstly a tax on capital income and secondly an increase of the taxes on emissions or energy use, an approach that is currently being discussed controversely in public and is often referred to as "ecological tax reform."

Computer Science
My thesis in computer science, submitted in 2007.
title: Voronoi-Diagramme höherer Ordnung (Higher Order Voronoi Diagrams)
abstract: I discuss higher order Voronoi diagrams, a generalization of the well-known Voronoi diagrams. The data structure is described formally and its properties are analysed. Then, several algorithms that construct Voronoi diagrams are introduced. Finally, I present a new simple algorithm for incremental construction.
